If I ran the world, there would be a national holiday to celebrate the first strawberries and cream of the season. This is worth the closing of stores, school cancellations, paid vacation time. I would send greeting cards for this. Happy Berry Day!

i plucked a good bunch from my patch this morning, but have no cream…
Mmmm…..I’m all for it! Let’s sit home and eat those delicious strawberries!
So with you! Berries are a reason to celebrate!
…and for the first ripe blueberries, and raspberries, and apricots hot off the tree. And the first fresh peas from the pod. Yummmm!!!
… oh yeah, and cherries…
