This set of original handmade linocut ornaments is a collaboration between artists Chandler O’Leary and Laurie Cinotto, and feature the stars of the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, Laurie’s wildly popular blog. The ornaments are illustrated by Chandler, from Laurie’s original photographs. Each ornament was letterpress printed by hand from hand-carved linoleum blocks on an antique Vandercook cylinder press, then hand-painted with watercolor. The prints are mounted to acid-free gray board and secured with a cream-colored satin ribbon. You can see the entire handmade process behind these ornaments on the blog.
These heirloom-quality ornaments are perfect for adding a playful twist to your holiday tree—or for creating a year-round decorating accent for your home.
This edition is limited to 200 sets—once they sell out, they will not be reprinted, so grab yours before they disappear forever! This is one of two 2012 sets in an ongoing series. The ornaments are not numbered, but each is hand-lettered with the name of each kitten and the year.
The set includes 6 different kitties from the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee:
• Charlene Butterbean (large siamese cat)
• Clovis Ashby (black kitten)
• Baxter Lamm (orange stripey kitten)
• Pearla Dearborn (gray kitten)
• Victoria Anne McGillicuddy (calico kitten)
• Aloysius Petrie (tabby kitten)
Limited edition of 200 sets
The 5 kitten ornaments are approximately 2 x 3 inches (5.1 x 7.6 cm) each. The larger Charlene ornament is approx. 3 x 4 inches (7.6 x 10.2 cm)
Because each ornament is hand-painted and completely handmade, no two are precisely alike. Please allow for slight differences and color variations from what is pictured here.
To ensure that local pets also have a happy holiday each year, we donated a portion of our proceeds to help stock the Tacoma Humane Society’s emergency pet food bank.
