Kinetic Hanukkah card

Description

This hand-pulled letterpress greeting card features my illustrations, custom-designed for Igloo Letterpress, who printed and cut the cards.

This is a “magic candle” holiday card, consisting of a single-sided card inside an outer sleeve. When the card is “closed, you see just an unlit candle wick showing through the cut circle on the sleeve. As you pull the card out, a menorah becomes visible, and the candles light! The card can be removed fully to write a greeting beneath the menorah. This is the perfect card for celebrating the Festival of Lights!

Card is letterpress printed in pale blue and flame yellow onto soft white paper; sleeve has a geometric Star of David pattern, printed in deep blue on shimmery pearl-silver paper. Both parts were printed on an antique press, and together they fit inside a standard A2 envelope (provided).
