Description
This die cut sticker is a reproduction of the flag design Chandler developed for a 2012 exhibition about vexillology (the study of flags). Using colors that echo those on the Washington State flag, the white triangle represents Mt. Rainier, the blue field above represents the sky, the blue field below stands for the waters of Puget Sound and Commencement Bay. The dark green stripe represents the trees that are such iconic parts of our landscape. The gold circle represents Tacoma’s origins as the terminus of the Northern Pacific Railroad.
Printed on water-resistant vinyl, the sticker measures approximately 2 x 3 inches.
