Gig Harbor giclée print

Description

Gig Harbor, Washington lies on a sheltered arm of Puget Sound, just across the Narrows from Tacoma, on the Kitsap Peninsula. Late afternoon sunlight bathes both mountain and vessels, while rippling reflections play across the surface of the water. A light mist floats at the water line, just at the edge of the evergreen forest on the shore.

This 9 x 12 print is a reproduction of the original letterpress piece from “Local Conditions,” a series depicting Washington’s Mt. Rainier from a variety of different vantage points. The original artwork was letterpress printed by hand on an antique Vandercook No. 4 press and then hand-painted with watercolor.

Paper size is 12 x 9.
